Brittany Veitch

I grew up in the outer suburbs of Melbourne where my mother owned a toyshop. My childhood was lived in the company of toys and a menagerie of pets; a deer, alpaca, goat and turtles. I received a Diploma of Furniture Technology in 2003 and went on to study Industrial Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. The toys I make are influenced by the strange and often disturbing ends that many pets encounter. My art is the bizarre and curious life of animals.
