"Humans, like all species, can only perceive what has been established by their evolution. We see, taste and eat other life forms, such as plants and mushrooms; we survive by interacting with them. Could it be that our symbiotic friends let us see and eat their aesthetic product only, the outcome of their sense of beauty? They don’t mind being found and eaten; they even compete with fabulous offers to those who eat them. They must be very sure that we are unable to find the site of their wanting and being. However we explain the essential harmony of coexistence, it is forcibly false by undue simplification. So, why not stick to the sweetest story: some symbiotic pals, such as plants and mushrooms, produce stacks of lovely artwork. They put their product into our warm-blooded species’ space. Plants and mushrooms, like artists, sell their output and thus, by emptying their stocks, give Art to the people. Is this too obvious to be said?"
