I was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan,on September 12, 1956. Though I was not quite ten years old when my family moved to Brandon, Florida my memories of the countryside and the seasons in Michigan are vivid. I graduated from Tampa Catholic High School and attended the University of South Florida as a painting major. My senior year I had to leave due to lack of money and began working for my father full time at his commercial art studio in the late 1970’s. In the late 1990's work slowed down so I had more time to devote to fine art. I began exhibiting my work in local Tampa Bay area galleries.
The work of Bosch and the Surrealists are an influence on me as well as nature and the gardens, landscape and ruins of the British Isles. Music inspires me most of all.
