Born in Guadalajara México, he grew within a family devoted to baroque religious art which was to become a primary influence, echoing on the dramatic, theatrical expression on some of the characters and certain ways to compose.

The direct contact with the work of Anne Bachelier and Frederick Hart in New York was determinant. The stile of Bachelier and the philosophy of Hart released new ideas and gave the justification to paint in a new manner following ever since the “Idealistic School of Contemporary Representational Art” words  found in a book of Hart’s work.

This blend of these concepts along with some other influences led to the “Stories from the Lost Continent” series. The depiction of the human nature in extraordinary and fantastic circumstances, searching the ideal within the logic of each painting.
