I believe art is a primal way of seeing both what is before us and what can only be imagined. Beginning as perception,  personal visions  are made tangible by our skill at depicting them. Art transcends written language, it communicates beyond national boundaries and the limitations of time. The contemporary artist should add to our collective visual vocabulary through his or her unique perspective. To this goal, I have been making drawings, paintings, collages and prints for almost four decades.  

The inspiration of many of my landscapes is the sense of spiritual awareness and beauty found in nature. Additionally, various mythologies, the archetypal dream world and the countercultural Zietgeist of the Sixties and Seventies informed my work, and brought it to be associated with the Northern California Visionary Art movement.
