Martine Rhyner

My painting is the yearning to overcome the physical world, to penetrate into open, boundless space and to allow the emotions to take effect. As a child, I was already painting irrational worlds, submerging myself in the works of Surrealist painters and even today, the pictures of Salvador Dali still exert a very special fascination for me today.
