Mary was born and raised on the northside of Dublin, Ireland. After she graduated from art college with a BA in illustration & fine art, she went to work in London, England where she freelanced as a visual effects artist in traditional animation. A job offer from Dreamworks Animation Studios took her to Los Angeles and since then she has worked as an artist on many animated motion pictures. She currently lives in Arizona where she is focusing on her artistic career as a visionary artist.
The subject matter of her art is surreal exploring themes which are born of the imagination and dreams. Her dramatic use of lighting gives her work a classical edge, setting the stage for the subject, embellishing the imagery with soulful gothic & haunting undertones.
