Much erotic art touches upon the realms of esoterica, since ‘occult’ means ‘hidden’ and there are many realms of sexuality still taboo. As I deliberately unite these aspects in my work, I came up with the term Esoterotica to represent this style and purpose- to display the inner energy which propels eroticism rather than just the exoteric (outer) play of form. Unlike previous art movements which have merely flirted with Occult symbolism, the esoterotic Silver Dusk plunges without restraint into the magical realms of the subconscious.
