“Lord of Lies”.

Ricardo MendTorr, born on september 16, 1986. Tijuana, B.C. Mexico.

Creator of paintings that are self-portraits about his childhood, age which he goes back to be  reminded  of  his insane imagination that generates sadistic pretended situations in realistic settings that portray everyday life and themes such as family, school, religion, sex and violence, with each one of these being altered and distorted by his particular yet twisted thoughts. The child portrayed has a huge amount  of illusions, or better said LIES, which he summons to show his most deep and undoubtedly honest desires and fantasies that uncover the truth about his feelings towards the environments  and persons that surround him, releasing the anger obtained from the lies of a repressive whole of authorities, in the form of making his own lies in a world in which he can thrive in an ego-satisfying way , turning the fear and hate into pleasant yet disturbing images, so LoL is basically the vision in every kids head that contains  the actual state of the collective subconscious  mind of humanity within the context and culture we live in right now. “art is a lie that leads us to the truth” -Picasso.
