Richard Hidalgo was born in Holguin, Cuba in 1983. He moved to the United States when he was eight years old and by 1995 he had began developing his skills for art. Since then, Hidalgo has been painting vigorously and his work is the fruit of his dreams and live events.
His inspiration.? The artist words:
"Once a great writer wrote:
"'Art is the desire of a man to express himself, to record the reactions of his personality to the world he lives in' -Amy Lowell (1874-1925).
"The things around me inspire me to look at the world and capture not only the simple and common things of it but what lies beneath, what people cannot see with just a glance because it takes patience to really discover the meaning and feeling of everything we see and touch. Therefore, i have chosen to share how i see life and reveal a piece of world through my eyes."
