Any meaning or profound significance found in my work is purely unintentional. I have no great wisdom or moral or political opinions to impart. I simply paint whatever images appeal to me, I'm sick to death of all these high-brow artists who seem to have a need to clutter up their images with meaning and and messages. I personally feel that kind of crap detracts from the art. When we see a beautiful sunset, no one asks, "What does it mean?" They simply admire it for what it is. My work is meaningless because I feel that life itself holds no inherent meaning. If there is meaning to ones existence, they made it up. People can't bear the thought that all of this we endure is without some profound significance. The idea of all this we experience simply happens because it happens is absolutely unbearable to people. All of this is not to say that we, ourselves, can consciously assign an exemplary meaning to our lives. You can create for yourselves a mission. I have chosen that my life be about my work. Others choose their family or to simply be compassionate.
So I paint what I like because I like it, and I enjoy making people laugh with the images I create. I don't take myself seriously at all, so I like to inject a note of humor in paintings... bizarre or sarcastic as it may be.
Summing up, I'd like to say my work is primarily to entertain, without selling any personal point of view.
