My art deals directly with the subconscious. I try not to rely on preconceived ideas too much,opting more for the mystery of chance that spontaneity reveals. Shedding our ingrained concepts, notions and beliefs is demanding and requires a disordering of the senses. At times I wilfully encourage a state of mind that's conducive to attaining the material I need in order to achieve my goal, which is to make visual sense of the irrational,to expose our buried human drama.
