I paint women because I can't think of anything else more visually lyrical. The work I do combines photorealism, mannerist elements of surreal distortion and symbolism. From larger than life viragos to meticulously studied shrinking violets, and all the pathos in between, the personas in my paintings are character driven and archetypal, presenting a complex and intense cast of oddly eccentric women in allegorical settings.
