This is a cool style, it's very classic surrealist. (Which sort of makes me think of how many posts on this site are actually nothing like surreal or visionary art. I think half of the kids from deviantArt have made their way to this forum over the past two years or so...but I digress, not to complain).

Anyway, love what you've got going on here. The subject matter is great, the composition and colors are great. It's tough to take hold of a digital medium and create something that so obviously has the touch of the human hand and imagination. Definitely a nice break from Photoshop Filterpalooza.

And Mister Lemon Holds The Light

Thanks, jabuhrer. That's exactly the stuff you wanna read. Glad you like it for the same reasons I do. Here's another one.

By the Sea

Postby nolkTase » Mon Jan 11, 2010 9:09 pm

The following peace comes with a little story. Since I'm not a native speaker, there could be some errors in it. If so, please point them out to me, I would appreciate it.

By The Sea

I'm standing high above, atop the biggest dune around. Wind is moving the sand, blowing it softly over my naked feet, letting me subside a bit. Down below the army of musicians seems so small, as they are tuning up the instruments crooked tones feel their way into my ears.

Now, everything is ready. Although, where is the conductor? I can't spot him anywhere and the musicians are anxiously turning their heads as well. Time is slipping away. After a while I'm getting a little impatient, it probably won't happen, despite me awaiting it so eagerly. What would I give if it started already!? At least my left hand and my only possession: The beloved oversized swiss army knife®.

The next moment everything is well. The last two concerts are about to begin and I am the only audience, proud of having done my bit.

Wow! That last one is cake! Quite perfect!
A man with bronze hands fondles a matchbook in a dark hallway. Light filters in dimly through the windows and openings. Naked hands grope for the handle door. Walls give way. An eye to the soul is a window. A soul is a pool and deep waters are a heart.
