Postby jonbeinart » Sun Nov 19, 2006 9:04 am

I'm compiling a collection of original artworks by artists from the beinArt Collective which I aim to tour internationally. I plan to establish my own gallery with these artworks on rotation or to donate the entire collection to a public museum on condition that it is never divided. More info here: http://beinart.org/artists/beinart-coll ... paintings/

Here are some examples from the collection:

Great Collection!

Postby Dan_Wilson » Tue Nov 21, 2006 6:57 am

Fabulous works here. Great work Jon. If only that collection could tour the world, if only for a year. I live by the University of Washington, Seattle. The Henry Art Gallery is one of the best. Wink wink. ...well I can dream.
Cheers:)

That's so great! It's very good to be a part of this forum.

I just realized yesterday that the AMAZING collection of links to surrealist galleries that I found a few months ago was.. (tada) the beinart collective. So I've actually known about this longer than I thought. I remember showing those links to a bunch of people... I even posted links to it on a couple different forums over the last few months. I feel like a terd for not recognizing it until now .

I can't wait to see that publication. I've got some thinking to do with my form of creation... I'm trying to get some decent digital prints right now. It's hard to get your work out there when it comes to installations; if anyone has suggestions as far as that goes please let me know. I'm very much thinking I'll have to make a big fat coffee-table book (someday) in the distant future. Would be nice to have a permenant installation... hm.

Pipe dreams.

Jon

I think that in Art History your efforts equals what happened at various times, e.g the rise of the Pre-Rafaellite or the Impressionist etc. movements.

I hope to make a modest contribution by gladly donating to your collection copies of high quality photo prints of my work,

Hi Jon,

Over the past few weeks I've dropped you an email and a PM about possibly making a bequest to your physical collection of some works from one of the artists in your collective - not that I'm planning to die anytime soon, I hope.

I didn't want to do this publicly, but since I've heard nothing back and I since you appear to be posting in the forum at the moment I thought I'd give it one last shot. It's fine if you're not interested, but I'd like to be sure it's not just some electronic failure to connect. If you could message me here or email me, that would be great.

Hi Lloyd. I am so sorry that I haven't got back to you yet. I didn't receive the PM, but I have the email sitting in my inbox. I had planned to reply immediately, but have been in a work frenzy.... Tis the silly season and business & correspondance have been going off! I was very touched by your email and would be more than happy to take care of the artworks... but I hope you stay alive for many many years to come. Just in case you don't see this reply, I will email you as well

I hace nver sold a painting and don't know where to make prints that are true tothe blacklight colors ihave developed through elaborate mixing. I wanted to know if I could email you some pictures. and see what you think or if you would be interested in purcaseing or helping me. got togo talk to you later

Hell post them on the forum too! I would like to see!
A man with bronze hands fondles a matchbook in a dark hallway. Light filters in dimly through the windows and openings. Naked hands grope for the handle door. Walls give way. An eye to the soul is a window. A soul is a pool and deep waters are a heart.
