The Visionary Revue is an on-going exploration of Visionary art, both in its historical and contemporary means of expression. Each on-line issue features galleries with hundreds of images as well as in-depth articles. The Manifesto of Visionary Art, published in the first issue, introduces the Revue's main concerns: the Visionary lineage, works of Light and Darkness, the sources of inspiration (entheogens, madness, meditation), the questions of technique. All forms of Visionary art are explored - Psychedelic, Surreal, Fantastic or Esoteric. Although Visionary art of the raw or 'brut' variety is appreciated, greater emphasis is placed on the technically-accomplished genre. The Visionary Revue attempts to document emerging trends in this ever-expanding international movement.
