Rafael Silveira

Rafael Silveira was born in Paranagua, Brazil in 1978 and began his creative ventures in 1990 through drawing comics, most of which were featured in numerous independent publications throughout Brazil. He studied fine arts at Federal University of Parana and received a degree in advertising from Centro Universitario Curitiba in 2002.

With a background in graphic arts, Silveira moved towards the exploration of cartoon imagery, using a mixture of oil and acrylic paint to capture the essence of classical and contemporary features, finding most of his inspiration through the rich cultural landscape of his home country.
