Why did the Kinnari cross the road? To get her hair tie, and tame those locks. Kinnara are beloved mythological creatures of Buddhist and Hindu origins. They are sometimes depicted as centaur-like, with half-human and half-bird bodies. Or as part human, part bird and part horse. Both origins attribute celestial musical skill to Kinnara and their female counterparts, Kinnari. They symbolize beauty, grace and accomplishment. - Camilla d'Errico
