Lucy Donovan

Lucy Donovan is an artist focusing on the finer details of traditional drawing mediums. Growing up on the south-east Australian coastal city of Wollongong, Australia, they earned themselves a Bachelor in Creative Arts (Honours) and maintained a strong focus and love for honing their skills with pencil, ballpoint pen, watercolour and gouache.
As the first-wave of pandemic lockdowns began in 2020, Donovan focused on commission-based ballpoint pen drawings to keep themselves occupied after drawing a friends pet as a birthday gift (as many artists can relate to) before relocating to Naarm/Melbourne and completing a Masters in Art Curatorship.

Donovan maintains the "fake it 'til you make it'" attitude, showcasing artworks across Sydney and Melbourne including the Midsumma & Australia Post Art Award and Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award.
