Lucy Donovan is a Melbourne-based artist focusing on the finer details of traditional drawing mediums. Growing up on the south-east Australian coastal city of Wollongong, they earned themselves a Bachelor in Creative Arts (Honours) with a strong focus and love for honing their skills with pencil, ballpoint pen, watercolour and gouache.
As the first-wave of pandemic lockdowns hit in 2020, They focused on commission-based ballpoint pen art to keep themselves occupied after drawing a friends pet as a birthday gift before relocating to Naarm/Melbourne and completing a Masters in Art Curatorship.

Lucy maintains the "fake it 'til you make it" attitude, showcasing artworks across Sydney and Melbourne including the Midsumma & Australia Post Art Award and Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award for a series of 180+ small drawings of sapphic characters in fictive television media in the moments of their death. They draw what they see and what they love often through the lens of memories captured in time; friends, their partner and a growing plethora of pets and occasionally their rotating list of television series they're hyperfixated on.
