Marc Burckhardt is an American fine artist and illustrator known for blending historical symbolism with modern themes. Utilising oil and acrylics, he employs Old Masters techniques like a monochromatic underpainting and colour glazing on wood panels. A past President of the Illustration Conference (ICON) and chairman of the NY Society of Illustrators 47th Annual, Marc has also taught at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and Texas State University. He is a named Texas State Artist and a recipient of the Hamilton King Award.
