Thrift Creeper is an anonymous artist based in Phoenix who turns secondhand knick-knacks into grotesque, surreal sculptures and quietly places them back on thrift-store shelves for unsuspecting shoppers to discover.
Working from Arizona, the creator buys seemingly innocent items—such as porcelain ballerina figurines or small animal statues—and reworks them with polymer clay, Apoxie Sculpt, and acrylic paint into unsettling little monstrosities with gaping mouths, teeth, and uncanny features. Once a piece is altered, they discreetly return it to the original thrift shop or a local Goodwill, then post subtle hints or locations...
