Zoë Rayne

Zoë Rayne is an oil painter living and painting in Wurundjeri country, in the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria. She graduated from the National Art School, Sydney, in 2015 with a bachelor of fine art degree in painting. With a deep connection to the more-than-human world, Rayne has always felt called to depict humanity’s inherent inseparability from nature. A painter of the liminal, Rayne strives to portray a sense of mystery and the otherworldly in her work. Her paintings are a reclamation of old ways found in myth, story and folklore, intertwined with her own explorations of queerness, ritual, kink and eco-sexuality. Her work has been shown in the USA and galleries around Australia.
