I have small children / I have limited mobility and cannot stand in queue for an extended period. Can I come early?
Yes, at our book signing events we provide priority access from 10 am to 11 am for visitors with small children, limited mobility, or sensory sensitivities.
Admittance to the priority queue will end at 11am, after this point any newly arrived attendees will need to join the general access queue.
Can I purchase books at the event? Can I bring my own books from home?
Yes, we have a selection of books by our guest artist available for purchase at the gallery.
Please ensure books are purchased before joining the queue. If you already own books by our guest artist, you are welcome to bring them along, however please note there is a limit of 2 books per person for signing.
I cannot attend in person, can I purchase a signed book online or have one shipped to me?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the high volume of attendees at our book signing events, guest artists are only able to sign books for those attending in person. We’re therefore unable to offer signed copies for online purchase or shipping.
Is the queue to get books signed indoors?
Unfortunately we're unable to accommodate queuing indoors; the queue begins outside the gallery. Please consider bringing sunscreen and a waterbottle and whatever else you may need to remain comfortable in Melbourne's unpredictable weather.
I only want to view the gallery's current exhibition. Do I need to queue?
No, the queue is only for the book signing; the gallery will be open for viewing from 11am - 5pm.
Is the gallery wheelchair accessible?
The gallery is located in an Edwardian-era building, and as such there are two steps up to the gallery entrance. Upon request we are happy to set up a portable ramp to facilitate access to the gallery's ground floor, which houses our current exhibitions and hosts our book signing events. Unfortunately, the second floor of the gallery (our inventory showcase) is only accessible via a set of carpeted stairs.
