Selene Mauri Cochrane

Selene Mauri Cochrane, with over 30 years of experience as a costumier, began in fashion before transitioning to theatre and performance art. She has extensively collaborated with Brisbane performer Christine Johnston on numerous productions. As the Wardrobe Supervisor and Resident Designer for Queensland Ballet between 1998 and 2003, Selene crafted costumes for productions such as The Little Mermaid and Don Quixote, which toured nationally and internationally. After receiving surgery for scoliosis, Cochrane had to step away from her career as a costumier and instead focus on her own artistic pursuits.
