David Zhou is a sculptor and conceptual designer specialising in wildlife and fantasy creatures. His work explores the natural world through keen observation and expressive realism. His current series, Origin, presents a hyper-realistic ecosystem of fictional biological specimens, blurring the line between reality and imagination. Inspired by Darwinian evolution, Origin constructs a parallel natural history, rendering non-existent species with meticulous detail to evoke a sense of authenticity. Through this series, Zhou crafts a naturalistic yet speculative world, challenging perceptions of evolution and the boundaries of life itself.
