Erika Sanada - Hideaway

Hideaway is a solo exhibition of new ceramic sculptures by Erika Sanada. The pieces are an exploration of the link between Sanada’s anxieties and herself.

Opening Night: Saturday, Nov 30, from 6pm – 9pm. Free entry.

This exhibition runs from December 1 to December 22. It runs concurrently with the solo shows, Brian Mashburn's Present Tense and Annita Maslov's Arcana.

Sanada notes that her anxieties are constant: they are always with her. Even when she can create some distance from her nervousness or ignore it, it is always present, as if it is hiding somewhere within her. Sanada feels like her anxieties are part of her and cannot be separated from her, and this conclusion formed the inspiration for this show.
