Samara Owens is a Melbourne-based artist whose practice centres on slow craft as a method of making and reflection. Working primarily with felt and hand-based processes, her work explores stillness, ancestral memory, land, and embodied ways of knowing. Informed by decades of close, one-to-one work with women and communities, Owens approaches materials with care and attentiveness. Her practice resists speed and productivity, positioning craft as a deliberate counterpoint to a technology-driven world.
