Hannakin - Dream You Sprouts

Hannakin invites us into the gentle, quiet world of fibre, spore, thread and blossom.

Opening reception: Saturday, July 19th, 5 - 8 pm. Drinks will be provided by our friends at Stomping Ground Brewing Co., Fin Wines and Cré Wines.

This exhibition will run from July 20th - August 10th 2025, and will coincide with Tokyo Jesus' Eternal Memories, Caroline Dewison's A Fantastic Journey, and Aof Smith's Unrevealed Traits.

Thoughtfully crafted by hand, these sproutling forms have slowly emerged, each thread pulled tenderly, stitch by stitch, into their eventual thousands. Reflecting on the darkness that has been the backdrop of Dream You Sprout’s development, Hannakin hopes to frame craft as an act of small rebellion and whimsy, and as a tool of community and compassion. By carefully constructing these tactile, sympathetic beings with buds, bulbs, roots and mould, Hannakin draws on the restorative and connective themes of nature, growth, reclamation and the hopes they inspire.
